Subject: SCSI Driver Question
Date: August 1, 1990

QUESTION: A user installed four drives with two IBM SCSI controllers
to build a 620MB duplexed volume under NetWare 386 v3.0
rev A. Apparently they had to get patches from IBM to even
boot DOS with this many drives. They are aware that the
current drivers will not allow access to a DOS partition
(eliminating using the hard disk to boot from or even
running STARTUP.NCF). What they want to know is will the
v3.1 IBM SCSI drivers support access to the DOS partition?
ANSWER: The answer is YES the v3.1 driver will handle the DOS
partition issue.
